Dr Mrs Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, CEO of African Agribusiness Consortium (AAC) Limited, has emphasized the critical role of resilience in leadership for driving business growth.
Speaking at the 12th Jospong Leadership Conference (JLC) on January 15, 2025, at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa, Central Region.
The conference, which gathers management and staff of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), focuses on promoting business sustainability, fostering positive work ethics, and catalyzing impactful change within the organization.
In her presentation, "The Path to Resilience," Dr Mrs Siaw Agyepong passionately explained that resilience is the cornerstone of leadership that transforms challenges into opportunities.

“Resilience is not innate—it is built through embracing discomfort and overcoming challenges,” she remarked, highlighting that a resilient leader doesn't just help an organization survive tough times but ensures it thrives.
She further noted that resilient leaders are driven by purpose, remain steadfast in their vision, and take bold actions to bring about meaningful reforms, even in the face of overwhelming obstacles. Drawing inspiration from figures like Jesus Christ, Nelson Mandela, Elon Musk, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, she illustrated how purpose and perseverance can propel individuals and organizations to greatness.
Dr. Siaw Agyepong also shared deeply personal anecdotes about the struggles she and her husband, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of JGC, faced early in their journey. Her humility and authenticity struck a chord with the audience.

“Resilience sparks innovation and enables us to navigate challenges effectively,” she said, adding that it is a continuous process requiring strength, faith, and adaptability. She encouraged attendees to draw on divine guidance and inner strength as they cultivate resilience in their respective roles.
As the conference continues through January 17, 2025, participants are exploring how leadership at all levels can foster transformation and ensure sustainable growth for their businesses and communities.
“Dr Mrs Siaw Agyepong’s message on resilience serves as a guiding light for those aspiring to lead with courage and purpose during challenging times,” said some participants.
