Richie Mensah, Ghanaian singer-songwriter and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lynx Entertainment, has shared valuable insights into the music industry during a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim.
Responding to rumours about some artistes leaving the label, he confirmed that currently only three artistes have a 360 record deal with Lynx.
"There are three artistes on 360 deal. There is KiDi, there is DJ Vyrusky, there is DSL," he said, adding that some of the artistes that have left the label still have distribution contracts with him.
"A 360 deal means we handle everything for you. But the distribution means we are handling your music out there," he explained.
Richie also emphasised the importance of hard work, strategic planning, and understanding the dynamics of different artiste deals.
He offered a pragmatic perspective on achieving success: "The more valuable you are, the more services you can get."
He encouraged aspiring artistes to focus on their craft, rather than complaining.
