Ghanaian rapper Bashir Annan, known as Gambo, has reflected on a landmark year in 2024 with major musical milestones and international engagements.
His ‘1 More Bullet’ EP, released earlier in the year, showcased his hip-hop artistry and featured collaborations with E.L., Kofi Jamar, and American rapper Jim Jones. The project gained significant attention both locally and internationally.
Gambo also embarked on a North American tour, performing in cities such as Montreal, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Chicago alongside Nigerian afrobeats star Young Jonn.
Beyond music, he actively promoted Ghanaian culture on the global stage, advocating for music as a tool to boost Ghana’s tourism industry.
A highlight of the year was his meeting with American rap legend Snoop Dogg, following previous networking sessions with music mogul Jermaine Dupri. These interactions signal potential future collaborations.
With a strong 2024 behind him, Gambo is optimistic that he can push Ghanaian hip-hop further onto the global stage in 2025 and the coming years.
