Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club have confirmed the appointment of Ibrahim Tanko as their new head coach.
The Tarkwa-based side announced the hiring of the former Ghana international on a two-and-half-year deal on Wednesday, January 29.
A statement from Medeama SC confirming Tanko's appointment reads: “Medeama Sporting Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Coach Ibrahim Tanko on a two-and- half year contract.”
Tanko joins Medeama after announcing exit from Accra Lions last week following a three-year relationship.
He takes over from Evans Adotey who reverts to his role as the technical director at the club.
Tanko’s first game in charge of Medeama will be against Legon Cities on Sunday, February 3, 2025, at the TnA Stadium.
