In a major step toward strengthening community security, Dr. Oseadeeyo Nana Kumi Kodie, in collaboration with the Dadaba Group and with the support of Michael Okyere Baafi, has officially donated a newly constructed police station to the Ghana Police Service.
The Koforidua Technical University (KTU) Police Station, located in the Adweso District of Koforidua, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony attended by top dignitaries and community members.
Dr. Kodie, a renowned philanthropist and leader, has long been dedicated to initiatives that uplift communities and foster development.

Recognizing security as a key pillar of national progress, he spearheaded the construction of the KTU Police Station to enhance law enforcement efforts in the Adweso District and surrounding areas.

"This is not just a building; it is a symbol of our collective commitment to a safer and more secure community," Dr. Kodie remarked at the commissioning ceremony.
"I am honored to contribute to this cause, and I hope this marks the beginning of even greater developments in our district."

The inauguration event was graced by high-ranking officials, including Deputy IGP COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, representing the Ghana Police Service; Prof. John Owusu, Vice-Chancellor of Koforidua Technical University; and DCOP Emmanuel Twumasi-Ankrah. Their presence underscored the importance of the initiative in bolstering local law enforcement and community trust.
Dr. Kodie emphasized that the police station should serve as a bridge between the police and the people, fostering collaboration in the fight against crime.

The KTU Police Station is equipped with modern infrastructure and resources designed to improve policing efficiency, including:
Advanced communication systems to ensure swift responses to emergencies.
Comfortable and secure holding facilities for suspects.
Specialized offices to enable officers to carry out their duties effectively.
Community-friendly spaces to encourage positive interactions between law enforcement and the public.
The construction of the facility was made possible through the efforts of the Dadaba Group, a leading construction firm, and the advocacy of Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, whose commitment to community development played a vital role in realizing the project.
The KTU Police Station is expected to significantly improve security in the Adweso District by:
Strengthening crime prevention and response efforts.
Enhancing trust and collaboration between the police and the public.
Serving as a hub for security education and awareness.

Dr. Kodie’s donation of the police station stands as a testament to his dedication to national development and community empowerment.
His initiative not only addresses immediate security needs but also sets an example for private-sector involvement in public service.
As the police station begins operations, it symbolizes hope and progress—proof that collective efforts can drive meaningful change. Dr. Kodie’s vision and generosity will undoubtedly inspire others to contribute to the development of their communities.
