Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has opened up about her relationship status, stating that she's not looking for a relationship at the moment.
In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Sista Afia mentioned why she’s actively not seeking a relationship.
“I’m not looking. Honestly, I’m not looking for a relationship. I don’t need it for now. I do get approached but I don’t get involved because it takes a lot of things away from me. I mean I turn down a lot of people coz I just wanna put myself first. Past relationships didn’t go well for me so I just want to be by myself,” she said.
According to her, she's however not ruling out the possibility of meeting someone special.
“I’m not stopping anybody from coming though. When I see that you are the one you are the one. If I know, I have to feel it. Every girl needs that,“ Sista Afia added.
Touching on the issue of signing a 360 deal, she disclosed that she’s grown past that and has built a certain standard for her brand.
“I’d sign a deal and not a label. I’d never sign a 360 whatever. I’d never do that but I’d want a collaboration, distribution deals, publishing deals, promo deals, anything deals but not signing. I feel like I’ve built myself to some standard where I’m not starting from scratch so why will I need a 360,unless the deal is good and it will benefit me,” she noted.
The musicians comment underscores her 10years hardwork in the industry, her independence in growth and courage to make a name without having sexual affairs.
