The acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, has urged state-owned enterprises and other institutions with state interests to insure their businesses with SIC Insurance PLC.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng reassured stakeholders that SIC Insurance PLC is financially stable and consistently pays claims on time.
He made these comments during a courtesy call on the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Ghana, Ms Emeafa Hardcastle, at the Commission's headquarters in Accra.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng explained that the purpose of his visit was to explore closer collaboration with the Petroleum Commission and to seek the support of its Chief Executive Officer in ensuring that SIC Insurance not only insures the Commission's assets but also becomes a key player in providing insurance services for the oil and gas sector.
He expressed his commitment to working diligently to regain the large insurance accounts that were deliberately taken away from SIC Insurance PLC.
He further urged Chief Executive Officers, particularly those in state-owned enterprises, to cooperate and assist the state insurer in repositioning itself as the leading insurer in the country.
