Call them enthusiasts, devotees, or aficionados, hundreds of Ghanaians from all walks of life on Thursday followed their love for the popular local dish, fufuo (fufu) and stormed the precincts of the headquarters of the Multimedia Group Limited at Kokomlemle in Accra, organised by Adom TV.

Their mission was simple, to sample their favourite dish.

With tables and chairs laid out under canopies stretching over 100 metres on both sides of the popular and usually busy street, patrons were treated to live band music, traditional dances and choreographed performances.

There was light soup, palm soup, groundnut soup and abunuabunu to meet every patron’s taste, and plenty of fufuo for every pot or bowl.

The annual Adom TV Fufuo Party aims to celebrate Ghana’s culinary traditions.
