The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured customers of ongoing efforts to restore power after outages hit parts of Accra on Tuesday, March 25, due to a severe rainstorm.
In a statement issued on March 26, ECG attributed the disruptions to damage caused by the storm, which it said significantly affected sections of its network, leading to electrical faults and service interruptions.
“The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform our cherished customers that the heavy rainstorm that hit parts of Accra and its environs yesterday evening March 25, has caused some outages within our network,” ECG stated.
The company further noted that a team of engineers has been deployed to assess the extent of the damage and undertake necessary repairs to restore power as quickly as possible.
