The Director of Communications for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has expressed difficulty in understanding how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is governing the country.
According to him, President John Mahama, whom he knows personally, does not seem to be governing in a manner that reflects his demeanour and personality.
Mr Ahiagbah suggested that there may be individuals within the government with a mission to cause harm, and that the President is unable to stop them from carrying out their actions.
"The demeanor and personality of President John Dramani Mahama are clearly at variance with the behaviour of his government," he said.
"I am not sure where this is coming from, somehow, I have a feeling and I stand to be corrected, that there are some hawks in the NDC administration or in the NDC party who are burnt on just doing bad stuff and the President cannot control them," he added.
Mr Ahiagbah referred to the Director of National Security, Richard Jakpa, saying, "If you see our brother Richard Jakpa, who is heading the National Security operations, it is as if he has a bone to pick with someone or he is trying to get back at someone."
He made this statement on JoyNews' The Pulse on Tuesday, during his appearance on the show to counter the Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Gbande.
The discussion centred on the ongoing suspicious flight saga and the Nigerian businessman who caused disturbances near the office of the president in Accra on Monday.
