The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a new two-year sponsorship deal worth 20 million Ghana cedis with KGL for the Black Stars.
This renewal comes after the expiration of the GH₵14m deal which lasted for four years.
The new sponsorship contract is expected to run until 2027.
Speaking to the media at the KGL head office in Accra, the Executive Chairman of the KGL Group, Alex Apau Dadey, expressed his delight at the continued partnership.
“I was glad that this came up for renewal,” he said.
“I spoke with the Minister and we decided that this would be the right time to sit down and discuss it together with the GFA President. One assurance I can give is that we’ll support the leadership of the Sports Ministry.
"The Minister pushed us very hard to come on board, reminding us about our responsibility as corporate citizens, and Kurt’s stewardship has shown us that the resources will be put to good use.”
Making his first media appearance for the first time since his appointment as CAF Second Vice President, GFA President Kurt Okraku also expressed his gratitude to the KGL Group for their continuous support.
“We appreciate your commitment to helping Ghana football progress beyond where it is now. We believe your investment will benefit not only the national team but the entire football ecosystem. We will ensure that the resources invested are put to good use.”
