The Eastern region has concluded the confirmation of all 33 Municipal and District Chief Executives nominated by President John Mahama.
All the nominees received one-touch endorsement during a confirmation that lasted for two weeks.
The confirmation process began at Mpraeso, where the nominee, David Osei Bonsu Effah, secured a 31 'Yes' votes out of the 37 votes cast, representing 84% of the total valid votes cast.

The confirmations ended on Friday, May 16, in the Kwahu Affram plains North and South districts.
In Kwahu Affram plains North, the nominee, Kate Mawusi Babanawo, received a hundred per cent endorsement, whilst the nominee for Kwahu Affram plains South, Moses Tangmee, secured 37 'Yes' votes against 4 'No', representing 90.2% of the total valid votes cast.
Except for a few, the majority of the nominees recorded a hundred per cent endorsement, signalling massive support for the presidential nominees.
Apart from Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Akropong, which recorded some level of tension, the rest were without hitches.

In Kwahu East, for instance, the NPP MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong, openly declared his support for the nominee, Samuel Asamoah and impressed upon the assembly members to confirm the nominee.
However, in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, the were nearly fisticuffs when the MP, Frank Annoh Dompreh, was prevented from entering the counting area, which was cordoned off to ensure a smooth tally of the ballots.
So far, the confirmation has been smooth due to the collaboration between the Eastern regional minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey and the NDC regional executives, chaired by Dr Mark-Oliver Kevor.
