Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has named five debutants in the team's squad for the upcoming Unity Cup in London.
The five debutants include one goalkeeper in Joseph Tetteh Anang, one defender in Aaron Essel, two midfielders in Caleb Yirenkyi and Abdul Aziz Issah and one forward in Mohammed Gaddafi Fuseini.
Anang has been in impeccable form for St. Patrick's Athletic in the Northern Ireland Premier Division, keeping seven clean sheets in 18 games.
Essel was part of the Black Satellites squad that played at the just-ended U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, featuring in all games as the team failed to secure World Cup qualification.
FC Nordsjaelland's Yirenkyi comes into the team at the back of an impressive season for the Danish side, breaking into the first team for the second half of the season.
The midfielder scored twice in 17 league appearances while also adding two assists to his game.
Aziz Issah has struggled for game time with Barcelona Athletic since arriving on loan earlier in the season from Dreams FC. Just like Essel, he also featured at the U-20 AFCON.
Fuseini finished the season as a league winner with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise as they beat Gent in their final game of the season on Sunday afternoon.
The five players will be looking to leave an impression on the technical team for more callups in subsequent games.
Ghana will face Nigeria on May 28 in their first game at the tournament. One of the two teams will play in the third-place playoff game or the final on May 31.
Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica are the other teams involved.
