Berekum Chelsea teenage sensation Kwesi Sorotu Badori is courting interest from several clubs following his impressive season with the Ghana Premier League side.
Despite recent reports suggesting a pre-contract agreement with Swiss side FC Basel, sources close to the budding midfielder have denied any deal is in place.
The 17-year-old's entourage insists the player remains fully focused ahead of making a decision on his next move after the end of the 2024/25 season. Sorotu turns 18 on January 1, 2026, so a decision on his future is likely to be made in the next months.
The defensive midfielder has been a standout performer in the top flight this season, starting 28 of the 34 matches, scoring once. This season was also his first enjoying top-flight football.
His dynamic playing style, marked by power, energy, and relentless tenacity, has drawn comparisons to Ghanaian legend Michael Essien.
Despite his impending departure from the domestic scene, Asante Kotoko has expressed interest in taking the kid on loan for the season. Several European clubs are closely monitoring his progress, but Sorotu’s next move remains uncertain.
However, what’s clear is that any club that secures his services will be landing a potential star in the making.
