EMY Africa has announced the upcoming Africa Rising Symposium, set for Thursday, 19th June 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Under the theme ‘Africa’s Defining Decade: Innovation, Leadership, and Global Influence’, the event will also mark the opening of the EMY Africa Expo 2025 — a vibrant four-day showcase of African excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation, and culture.
The inaugural Africa Rising Symposium, organised in collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in June last year, laid a strong foundation for ongoing discussions and partnerships that continue to shape the continent’s narrative.
Now established as a major platform, the symposium attracts influential thought leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from Africa and the global diaspora.
Participants can expect a series of engaging panel discussions, keynote speeches and networking opportunities, all aimed at examining Africa’s growing role on the world stage and identifying pathways to sustainable development.
Among the notable speakers confirmed for this year’s event are Vusi Thembekwayo, Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Dr James Orleans-Lindsay, Alex Dadey, Patricia Obo-Nai, and Valerie Labi, each bringing valuable insights on issues critical to Africa’s future.
Topics on the agenda include digital transformation, sustainability, youth empowerment, creative economies, and strategic leadership — all central to Africa’s continued growth and global prominence.
EMY Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to spotlighting African achievement and driving meaningful dialogue.
This year’s symposium promises engaging discussions and practical takeaways, setting the tone for what could be a transformative decade for the continent.
Registration is now open, and interested individuals, organisations, and media representatives are encouraged to secure their places early.
