President John Mahama has applauded the Overlord of Dagbon, His Royal Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II, for his role in bringing peace to the Dagbon area, and called for development in the area.
Addressing the traditional leader and his delegation when they paid a courtesy call on him at the presidency on Friday, June 13, Mr. Mahama said, "He played a critical role in the Otumfuo Committee resolution of the Dagbon crises... I am happy that at the end of the resolution exercise, he mounted the traditional skins of Dagbon, and since he mounted the skins, Dagbon has been at peace, as I said, he is a peace-loving person."
"Now that we have peace at Dagbon, it is time for us to have progress and development in Dagbon," he emphasised.
