Egli Studios’ latest project, 'Best Girlfriends', Ghana’s first-ever kids podcast, is taking the internet by storm following the release of its official trailer.
Just hours after it dropped, the show trended at #1 on X, formerly Twitter, while the podcast’s four young hosts Viphine, Elaine, Babette, and Kelly Ann also climbed the charts individually, trending at #3, #4, and #5, a rare feat for a children’s show in Ghana.
On TikTok, the trailer has already racked up over 200,000 views and 1,000+ comments, with fans praising the show’s refreshing authenticity and adorable hosts.
Instagram has also felt the wave, with a reach of over 50,000 accounts and hundreds of comments pouring in from parents, educators, influencers, and curious fans.
Some of the online reactions say it all:
"Oh my girlsssss, Ha!!! We are sat!"
"Herh herh we’ve been friends for 2 years. How old are they?"
"This is beautiful"
"Viphine, Babette, Elaine and Kelly really said 'we're making history' and delivered Ghana's first kids podcast. The talent is unmatched."
"These four queens are about to just change the game for Ghanaian kids content!"
"Egli Studios really nailed this children’s podcast chale… on point."
"Finally! A podcast our kids actually want to listen to and watch."
Set to premiere on June 21, Best Girlfriends features four 10-year-old best friends engaging in real, unfiltered conversations about friendship, school life, parents, dreams, and growing up in today’s world.
The show has captured hearts not just for its novelty, but for boldly giving children a voice in Ghana’s media space, a first of its kind.
Egli Studios' Creative Director, Aggor Yorm, shared, “This kind of reaction is what we hoped for. Best Girlfriends is more than a podcast; it’s a movement for fearless little voices. Ghana is finally seeing what kids have to say.”
As anticipation builds for its official release on YouTube and all major audio podcast platforms, Best Girlfriends is shaping up to be the breakout hit of the year.
