Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren was delighted with his side's win over Malawi as part of their preparations for the delayed 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana came from behind to beat Malawi 3-1, with Doris Boaduwaa scoring all three goals for Bjorkegren's team.
The victory was the Queens' second under the Swedish coach in six games since his appointment in February.
After the game, Bjorkegren believed the scoreline could have been worse if his side had taken their chances.
"The star was a little bit slow; otherwise, we were the better team the whole game," he said.
"We are creating so many chances; we won the game 3-1, but if you look at the chances, we could have scored six or seven. The most important thing is to win, play well and create chances, and this was a big step in the right direction."
The game against Malawi is one of three friendlies arranged for the team before their first game at the WAFCON to be staged in Morocco.
The Black Queens will also face Benin and Nigeria before the tournament commences on July 5.
