Former US tennis player and sports leader Katrina Adams has launched her book Own The Arena in Accra.
The event which is part of a week-long public engagement organized by AFRICA 10 is to inspire and connect with young people through sports.
Katrina is in Ghana with Bahamian Olympian Roger Smith. Together, they’ve been meeting with young tennis players, coaches and partners in the past days.
The President of the Ghana Tennis Federation, Isaac Aboagye Duah, who was also at the book launch lauded Adams’ journey and her contribution to tennis globally.

Katrina’s book, Own The Arena: Getting Ahead, Making a Difference, and Succeeding as the Only One, tells her story as a former professional tennis player and the first African American and youngest person to lead the United States Tennis Association. She shares lessons on leadership, confidence, and how to succeed even when you’re the only one like you in the room.
The visit is part of AFRICA 10’s mission to use sport to empower young people across Africa.
