The visible deployment is part of efforts by the Ghana Police Service to maintain order during the electoral rerun, following tensions from the disputed initial vote.

Officers in uniform, police barricades, and patrol vehicles positioned across key areas, including near voter registration centers and access routes to polling stations.
Meanwhile, voting is underway at 19 designated polling stations across the Ablekuma North constituency in a partial election rerun that will determine its next member of Parliament.
The contest features the National Democratic Congress candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn, facing off against the New Patriotic Party’s Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh.
