The Bank Hospital has responded to public concerns following the death of Ghanaian music icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away at the facility on July 26, 2025.
In an official statement, the hospital addressed recent allegations suggesting a breach of medical confidentiality, asserting that all procedures and interactions related to the late musician’s care were conducted in line with the highest ethical standards.
“The care provided to Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu was delivered with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality,” the statement emphasised.
The hospital also clarified that Daddy Lumba’s family was fully involved in every stage of his medical journey.
The response comes amid growing speculation on social media accusing the facility of compromising patient privacy. In light of these claims, the hospital announced the launch of an internal review into the circumstances surrounding the musician’s admission and treatment to further strengthen its commitment to patient care.
The management urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and rely on credible sources for updates.
The Bank Hospital extended its deepest condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family, the government, and fans both locally and abroad, acknowledging the passing of what it described as a national treasure.
