The Ghana Armed Forces has announced the temporary closure of the Trauma and Surgical Emergency Unit at the 37 Military Hospital for routine fumigation and maintenance.

The closure, which begins on Monday, August 4, will last until Wednesday, August 13, 2025, according to a statement issued by the Department of Public Relations at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra.

This scheduled exercise forms part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety for both patients and staff.

During the period of closure, Simango Ward will serve as the designated area for receiving all trauma and surgical emergency cases.

The Ghana Armed Forces has assured the public that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure continuity of care and minimize inconvenience. They also expressed appreciation for the public's continued trust and support.

The statement was signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director of General Public Relations for the Ghana Navy.

The public is advised to take note of the temporary changes and cooperate with the hospital’s arrangements during the fumigation exercise.
