An eyewitness has recounted his experience in trying to locate a Ghana Air Force helicopter that crashed and erupted in flames near Brofoyedru Sikaman, in the Adansi Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
Speaking to JoyNews, the eyewitness said he heard a loud explosion from the forest and drew the attention of nearby residents.
He said locating the wreckage on Wednesday was made difficult by dense foliage and the severity of the blaze, which left the aircraft burned beyond recognition.
Among the deceased are the Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Murtala Mohammed.
