Ace gospel musician and Physician Assistant (PA), Philipa Baafi, has released a new single titled “W’apegya Me Nhyira Mu.”
The track, which dropped on Sunday, September 7, at 6 p.m., is already making waves across digital platforms and social media.
This marks her second single in two years. In 2024, she released “Possible,” an uplifting anthem that inspired hope and faith. Sharing the inspiration behind her latest release, Philipa said, “Every song I release carries a piece of my heart and faith journey, and ‘W’apegya Me Nhyira Mu’ is no different.”

She explained that the song draws from the biblical story of Joseph.
“His life reminds us that even when people rise against us, God’s purpose cannot be aborted. Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, convinced they were destroying his future. Yet in God’s divine wisdom, those very trials became the stepping stones to his promotion,” she said.
From a slave and a prisoner, Joseph was elevated to Prime Minister of Egypt—proof that what men meant for evil, God turned for good.

The “I Go Dance” hitmaker added that the song speaks to betrayal, rejection, and disappointment, experiences many people endure at some point.
“When the hand of God is upon your life, no one can remove you from His divine plan.
‘W’apegya Me Nhyira Mu’ is therefore more than a song; it is a declaration of faith,” she noted. Philipa described it as an anthem of encouragement, hope, and assurance: “Man may try, but only God determines your destiny. Like Joseph, your story is not over—your blessing is secure in Him.”
