Prudential Bank Ghana has organised a 19-kilometre health walk to encourage healthy living and strengthen workplace relationships.
The event, dubbed “The Step Challenge Special Health Walk,” was held over the weekend and brought together staff of the bank.

The route started from the bank’s headquarters at Kanda, through Sankara Junction, Kawukudi Road, Airport Junction, the 37 Military Hospital, the Jubilee House, before returning to the starting point.
Human Resources Administrator, Madam Lilian Antwiwaa-Asante, said the initiative was aimed at encouraging employees to prioritise fitness.

“The purpose of the health challenge was to inculcate the habit of movement. It doesn’t matter whether you’re walking, swimming, cycling or skipping rope, you just have to move and be intentional about your health,” she explained.
Executive Head, Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey, added that the initiative was also meant to build stronger bonds among staff.

“Apart from the health benefits, we see this as an opportunity to foster camaraderie between senior and junior staff. Coming together as a team will help us become more creative and innovative,” he said.
Some employees who participated described the exercise as refreshing and rewarding.
