The Multimedia Group Limited's Clinton Yeboah has emerged as the only Ghanaian shortlisted for the 2025 West Africa Media Excellence Conference and Awards (WAMECA), standing out among 793 entries submitted by journalists across the sub-region.
The annual awards, organised by the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), celebrate outstanding journalism that advances transparency, accountability, and democratic governance.
Clinton Yeboah, working with Luv FM, the Kumasi business unit of the Multimedia Group has steadily gained national and international recognition for his investigative and social impact reporting.

In 2023, he was named Student Journalist of the Year at the Ghana Journalists Association Awards and also won silver award at the KNUST Vice-Chancellor’s Student Excellence Awards for his contributions to leadership, innovation, and social impact.
This year’s WAMECA, which received entries from over 600 media outlets across 15 West African countries, will be the 8th edition of the prestigious conference and awards scheme.
The event, themed “Journalism and Digital Public Infrastructure in Africa,” will not only honour impactful journalistic works but will also convene media practitioners, governance experts, and policymakers to discuss challenges and opportunities for media development and democratic growth on the continent.
