The final funeral rites of celebrated Ghanaian highlife musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, are set to take place on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Daddy Lumba, known for his soulful voice, timeless lyrics, and enduring stage presence, leaves behind a rich legacy that spans decades and generations.
According to a post shared by DL FM on Facebook, the ceremony is expected to draw thousands of mourners, including family, close friends, fans, industry colleagues, and well-wishers, all gathering to pay their last respects and celebrate the life of the iconic performer.
The public is invited to attend the memorial and join in honouring the man whose contribution to Ghanaian culture remains immeasurable.
"Come join family, friends, fans, and well-wishers as we bid a dignified farewell to an icon whose music touched generations," the post read.
He died in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
