The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the Kpando constituency in the Volta region benefits from meaningful development, pledging to support the area’s Member of Parliament in delivering on promises made to the people.
Speaking during an engagement with chiefs, residents, and party members at Kpando, the Chairman said his visit was to renew his assurance to the people and to emphasise the need for collective action toward the progress of the constituency.
He urged the residents to give their full support to both the MP and the District Chief Executive (DCE), adding that effective leadership depends on the cooperation and involvement of all stakeholders.

“I want to assure you that the promise I made to support your MP will be fulfilled,” he stated. “We came here with determination and we will do our part to ensure that the people of Kpando see the results they deserve.”
The Chairman also commended the chiefs and people for their steadfastness and continued faith in the NDC, saying their support remains a driving force behind the party’s vision for national progress.
In response, the Chief of Gbefi, Torgbui Akom, commended the NDC National Chairman and the party’s leadership for their commitment and for initiating several development projects in the area. He said the community had taken notice of the positive changes and appreciated the efforts being made to improve living standards.

Torgbui Akom also called on the people of Kpando to continue supporting constructive leadership that prioritises development over division and urged the NDC to maintain its focus on community-centred policies.
The National Chairman’s visit formed part of his regional tour aimed at engaging communities, strengthening party structures, and reinforcing leadership commitment to grassroots development across the Volta Region.
