The 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) continued to showcase brilliance and dominance at the SGS Auditorium as Okuapemman School (OKUAS) stormed their way into the one-eighth stage of the competition with an emphatic victory over Lapaz Community SHS and Yendi SHS.
From the blast of the bell in Round One, Okuapemman made their intentions clear, racing ahead with 28 points, leaving Lapaz Community SHS and Yendi SHS trailing with 12 and 6 points, respectively.

Their swift responses and confidence kept the auditorium buzzing with excitement.
Round Two was nothing short of a masterclass. Okuapemman’s contestants tightened their grip on the contest, stunning their opponents as they extended their lead to a jaw-dropping 53 points, while Lapaz and Yendi remained stuck at their earlier scores. The crowd could barely contain their cheers as the Eastern giants made the stage their own.

In the Problem of the Day, both Okuapemman and Lapaz managed to score 4 out of 10, showing flashes of brilliance, while Yendi struggled to make a mark.
But by Round Four, the energy in the hall was electric as Okuapemman continued their fiery run, soaring to 70 points as Lapaz tried to close the gap with 29 points, leaving Yendi with 19 points.

When the final bell rang, Okuapemman School had sealed their dominance with an impressive 76 points, ahead of Lapaz Community SHS with 32 points and Yendi SHS with 19 points.
With this commanding victory, Okuapemman School not only booked their slot in the one-eighth stage but also sent a clear message to future opponents — they are in the NSMQ 2025 to win it all.
