Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been urged to remain true to himself and steadfast in his quest to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory, and ultimately to serve the nation as president.
During his tour of the Western North Region as part of his nationwide campaign ahead of the NPP presidential primaries, Dr Bawumia’s character has become a central talking point, with several party executives commending his humility, decency, and leadership qualities — virtues they believe will carry him far.
“You are adored and loved because of your humility and good character,” the NPP Constituency Chairman for Bia East said on Wednesday, amid chants of approval from delegates and constituents.
The Chairman, like many others, said Dr Bawumia had remained decent and composed throughout the campaign despite persistent attacks from his opponents.
“In spite of all the attacks against you, you don’t even respond — and that is part of the reason why, here in Bia East, we are resolved to vote for you again. Others elsewhere also admire you for the same reason,” he added.
“We commend you for your decency and humility. Let them continue to say whatever they want about you; their wishes will never come to pass. Continue to be who you are, and victory will be yours.”
