Popular Nigerian actress Bukola Arugba has taken on the Kwara State First Lady, Olufolake Abdulrazaq, over her stance on the recent Church attack in the state.
A branch of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, was attacked by terrorists during a church program that was streamed live on Tuesday, November 18 2025, at Eruku, Ekiti LGA of Kwara state.
Three people were dead, with an unconfirmed number of worshippers abducted alongside the pastor.
Reacting to the tragic news in a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday evening, the actress tackled the Kwara State First Lady, Olufolake Abdulrazaq, for tagging the incident an attempted attack despite the live video.
The actress explained that the First Lady, in a statement shared on her official page, claimed the incident was merely an “attempted attack”.
Contradicting Olufolake Abdulrazaq’s claim, the actress, who is a native of the Eruku community, stated that three of her family members were abducted and are still with their abductors.
In a video shared on her Instagram page to address the First Lady, Bukola Arugba accused her of downplaying the seriousness of the event, insisting that the attack was deadly and carried out successfully by the terrorists.
While calling for help, she said, “I read a press release on the Kwara state First Lady’s page regarding the bandit attack in my home, Eruku, Ekiti LGA Kwara state which totally contradicts the sad truth. This video is to address and correct the report released on your page, ma’am.
“This involves my people directly. We all saw the viral video online; they were on live-streaming while the program was going on.
“It was never an attempted attack but a successful attack. I was in so much pain after I saw the release that it was an attempted attack, but nobody died. But people were hospitalised, with a lot of people abducted, while three people are confirmed dead.
“My aunt, Titi Balogun and two of my cousins, Ebenezer and Aina, were abducted. The reports on your page are false. It totally contradicts what happened”, she said.
