Auto Parts Limited, a leading automobile company in Ghana, has officially outdoored the 2015 Nissan X-TRAIL range of vehicles at a short colourful ceremony in Accra.
The Nissan X-TRAIL arrives as a six-model range, including two-and four-wheel drivetrains, seven seats, petrol and diesel engine options as well as manual or XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
The family vehicle has an active trace control, fitted to all models, which uses onboard sensors to monitor speed, steering angle, throttle position and braking effort.
“It comes to complement the line-up of small SUV segments which starts with JUKE follow by the QASHQAI and the PATHFINDER. This is the only seven seater in the SUV segment that is why [there is] the need for the new X-TRAIL,” Ghassan Y. Zakhour, General Manager of Auto Parts Ltd told Myjoyonline.com at the launch over the weekend, adding, “it has the latest technology in terms of specifications and safety.”
With Ghana being the first country in the sub-region to launch the new X-Trail, Mr. Zakhour is hoping its competitive price, ranging from US$30,000 to US$34,000 would boost its sales in the country.
The 2015 Nissan X-TRAIL has an Active Ride Control technology which automatically applies brakes and adjusts engine torque after the car hits a bump; smoothing out the ride. It is also fitted with a Hill Start Assist which helps prevent rollback when starting on an incline while the Hill Descent Control takes care of the brakes to enable the driver focus on steering.
