Softcare FM Manufacturing Company has been recognised as the Overall Best Industrial Company of the Year and the Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year at the 14th Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Awards held in Accra on Saturday, 29 November 2025.
The Managing Director, Ye Wei, led a team of staff to accept the awards, which were presented by the Vice-President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
Softcare’s consecutive CSR wins in 2024 and 2025 reflect its ongoing efforts to support community development, with initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, particularly in vulnerable and underserved areas.
Industry analysts, including Frost & Sullivan, have noted the company’s significant footprint in the production of diapers and sanitary pads across Africa. In Ghana, Softcare maintains strong local manufacturing operations and exports to a number of countries within and outside the continent.
At the ceremony, Vice-President Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the industrial sector through policies such as the 24-Hour Economy initiative. She emphasised that government will continue to support local manufacturers through targeted interventions, improved infrastructure for exports, and enhanced investment in technical and vocational education to build a skilled workforce.
Softcare’s products are widely used across different segments of society, including by schoolgirls and women who rely on affordable and accessible sanitary care. The company has also maintained tax compliance and continued its CSR activities nationwide over the past two decades.
With recent expansion increasing annual sanitary pad production to more than 80 million packs, Softcare FM Manufacturing is positioning itself to contribute further to national development, including supporting government initiatives that promote access to essential hygiene products.
