The Kuburah Diamonds Foundation (KDF) has hosted its maiden Intentional Women Conference, an empowering event designed to nurture purpose-driven young women and ignite the future of female enterprise in Ghana.
The conference, held at Red Clay, attracted more than 400 students from five senior high schools—Tamale Senior High, Northern School of Business, Islamic SHS, Nuriya SHS, and Nanton SHS—alongside over 100 women and supportive men across the Tamale metropolis.
Organised under the theme “Educate, Empower, Trailblaze”, the event brought together accomplished female professionals, thought leaders, and change-makers dedicated to building what the Foundation describes as "female capital".
Hosted by KDF founder Adiza Ibrahim, the conference was inspired by her motivational book, Hey Diamond! Becoming an Intentional Young Lady.
The gathering sought to bridge the gap between aspiration and action by offering practical knowledge in purpose, entrepreneurship, and self-development.
A rich lineup of speakers delivered compelling messages rooted in personal experience:
- Executive Chef Faila, famed for her Guinness World Record Cook-A-Thon attempt, spoke on the discipline and strategic planning required to cultivate a powerful brand and achieve excellence.
- Chef Dee (Khadija Yussif) and Humu-Hani, founder of Assistance Hub, encouraged participants to nurture their talents while building competitive digital skills.
- Nihad Titiaka, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024 winner and founder of Ecogreen Cases Legacy, challenged young women to use their influence for environmental protection and “be agents of green.”
- Iddrisu Khadijah, one of Ghana’s young female private pilots, urged students to break barriers and venture into male-dominated fields.
- Hajia Alima Sagito Saeed, Executive Director of SWIDA and Special Guest of Honour, underscored the importance of collaboration in accelerating women’s advancement.
Reflecting on the event’s impact, founder Adiza Ibrahim described the experience as transformative:
“The emotions around the engagement at Red Clay were truly remarkable. This conference was designed to transfer knowledge that will help our young attendees become intentional about their future. The synergy between the speakers and the audience proved this was a defining moment.”
She expressed profound gratitude to the speakers, the Ghana Education Service (Northern Region), Electroland Ghana Limited, PassionAir, Red Clay Studio, participating schools, and residents of Tamale for their support.
KDF says it plans to build on the momentum by making future editions even more impactful, with a long-term goal of nurturing a generation of intentional young women ready to lead, innovate, and transform their communities.
Founded in 2020, the Kuburah Diamonds Foundation is a Ghanaian non-profit dedicated to empowering girls and women through education, skills development, and welfare support.
The organisation believes in building female capital as a pathway to a more equitable society.
