The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the opening of an overflow car park at the Kotoka International Airport to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the Christmas travel season.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Monday, December 15, GACL said the additional parking facility is part of measures to improve convenience for travellers and visitors during the festive period.
According to the company, the overflow car park is located adjacent to the existing Terminal 3 (T3) parking area and provides approximately 300 extra parking bays.

GACL noted that the expansion is aimed at easing congestion around the terminal and ensuring smoother access to the airport as passenger numbers rise during the holidays.

The company added that parking attendants will be deployed to guide motorists to the overflow parking areas as they approach the airport, assuring the public of efficient traffic and parking management throughout the festive season.
