Tema will usher in the new year with music and culture as the highly anticipated Music Is My Life Concert takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Big Base Street, Tema Community 2.
The New Year’s Day concert officially opens Ghana’s concert calendar for 2026 and is expected to draw music lovers from across the country.
The lineup promises a night of high-energy performances, with Sarkodie, Kweku Smoke, King Promise and the Asakaa Boys comprising Reggie, Jay Bahd, Kwaku DMC and Skyface SDW all billed to perform. Other artistes on the night include Mista Myles, Kimilist, Ras Kuuku, Lasmid and several others.
“Music Is My Life Concert is more than just a show, it’s a movement,” said Mubarak Nkrumah, popularly known as K9, CEO of Mimlife Records.
He noted that the event has grown into a cultural landmark that sets the tone for entertainment in Ghana each year.
The concert is produced by Mimlife Records as part of its social responsibility to the Tema community, reflecting a commitment to giving back through music.
Eric Asmah, General Manager of Mimlife Records, echoed this vision, saying, “Music Is My Life Concert is the pinnacle of all events, and we’re honored to bring this electrifying experience to music fans once again. This year’s lineup reflects the evolution of our music, blending chart-topping stars with rising talents shaping the future.”
Music Is My Life Concert is free to the public, with no tickets required. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and patrons are encouraged to arrive early to be part of the opening moments of Ghana’s 2026 concert season.
