The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has reaffirmed her commitment to community development by donating GH¢39,000 towards the completion of the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Manso Nkwanta No. 2.
The intervention forms part of the MP’s broader development agenda aimed at improving access to quality healthcare and strengthening social infrastructure across the constituency.
The support is expected to accelerate work on the facility and bring essential healthcare services closer to residents of the community and its surrounding areas.
The donation was formally received by executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Manso Nkwanta No. 2, on behalf of the chiefs, opinion leaders and members of the community.
Speaking on the significance of the support, party executives and community representatives expressed appreciation for what they described as a timely intervention that demonstrates the MP’s responsiveness to the healthcare needs of her constituents.
The gesture, observers note, underscores Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s focus on healthcare delivery, community development and social welfare, aligning with the NDC’s vision of building resilient communities and improving living standards within Amenfi Central.
With the completion of the CHPS compound, residents of Manso Nkwanta No. 2 are expected to benefit from improved access to primary healthcare, reduced travel time to medical facilities and enhanced health outcomes.
The MP has consistently maintained that sustainable development must be people-centred, with health and wellbeing at the core of policy and constituency-level interventions.
