The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, marked this year’s Christmas celebrations by hosting aged persons and widows at his residence in the Kumawu Constituency, describing the moment as both humbling and deeply meaningful.
In a social media post reflecting on the occasion, Mr Anim said the gathering provided an opportunity to reconnect with some of the most vulnerable members of society while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ in its truest sense.
“Yesterday, I had the honour of marking the birth of Christ with the aged and widows at my residence in the Kumawu Constituency,” he said.

According to the MP, the interaction served as a reminder of the values that Christmas represents, particularly compassion and selfless service to humanity.

“It was a humbling reminder to care for the vulnerable while upholding the true spirit of Christmas — compassion, unity and selfless service to humanity,” Mr Anim added.

The Kumawu MP’s gesture has been widely praised by residents and supporters, who say it reflects a commitment to inclusive leadership and social responsibility beyond politics, especially during festive seasons meant for sharing and togetherness.
