The Accra Regional Police Command, in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Police Command, has apprehended seven (7) members of a notorious highway robbery syndicate believed to be responsible for a series of violent robberies across Greater Accra, Eastern, and Ashanti Regions.
According to a press statement issued by the police on Saturday, January 10, the gang is linked to a violent armed robbery on 29th November, 2025 at a residence in Peduase, Aburi, where the suspects reportedly stole mobile phones, jewellery, and an unspecified sum of cash while armed with firearms.
The arrests followed intelligence-led investigations by personnel of the Eastern Regional Police Intelligence Directorate (PID), in close collaboration with the Accra Regional PID.
