Ghana is participating in the Future Minerals Forum 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the country represented by Yusif Sulemana, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, and Isaac Tandoh, Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission.
The high-level forum brings together global stakeholders to explore opportunities for advancing responsible, technology-driven mineral development.
Speaking on the sidelines of the forum, Yusif Sulemana said Ghana remains committed to leveraging innovation and modern technology to strengthen its mining sector while ensuring sustainability.
“Ghana is focused on building a minerals industry that is driven by innovation, attracts responsible investment, and supports long-term economic diversification,” he said, adding that partnerships formed at the forum would be critical to achieving these goals.
The Future Minerals Forum serves as a platform for dialogue on investment, policy, and innovation across the global mining value chain.
According to Isaac Tandoh, the event presents an opportunity for Ghana to showcase its mineral potential and regulatory reforms to international investors.
“This forum allows us to engage partners who are interested in transparent, responsible and technology-driven mineral development,” he noted.
The forum is also focused on strengthening sustainable mineral supply chains to meet global demand.
Ghana’s delegation said its participation aligns with national efforts to promote value addition, responsible mining practices, and international collaboration, while positioning the country as a reliable destination for investment in the minerals sector.
