He gave this assurance following a preparatory meeting with representatives of teams preparing for the upcoming season.
Dr. Luguterah expressed satisfaction with the 2025 season, which concluded with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) emerging as champions, and noted that lessons from the previous edition will further enhance the quality of the competition in 2026.
“The University of Ghana Corporate Football League has strengthened bonding within and among organizations and has also promoted a healthy work-life balance, which ultimately translates into increased productivity at the workplace,” he said.
Dr. Luguterah revealed that the 2025 season recorded an impressive total of 142 goals across both groups, underscoring the attacking quality and high level of competition among participating teams.
He further disclosed that interest in the league continues to grow, with an increasing number of corporate institutions expressing their desire to join. As a result, the 2026 season will feature 20 teams competing for the ultimate trophy.
Dr. Luguterah commended all participating teams, sponsors, and partners for their invaluable contributions to the success of the league and reaffirmed the University of Ghana’s commitment to using sports as a tool to promote wellness, teamwork, and corporate networking.
