Former Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama, has praised Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President of Ghana and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, for his transformative plans and vision for national development.
He made the remarks on JoyNews’ AM show on Wednesday, January 21, noting Dr Bawumia’s commitment to economic growth, technological advancement, and inclusive development.
“Dr Bawumia has a clear blueprint for the future of our country,” Farouk Aliu Mahama said.
“He does not just present ideas; he has actionable policies that, if implemented, can change the lives of Ghanaians across the country. His approach spans education, infrastructure, and economic empowerment, all rooted in practical solutions.”
He highlighted the former Vice President’s focus on youth empowerment and digital innovation as crucial for Ghana’s progress.
“Our youth are the backbone of national development. Dr Bawumia’s programmes create jobs, encourage innovation, and equip young people with the skills to compete internationally,” Farouk Aliu Mahama explained.
Farouk Aliu Mahama also praised Dr Bawumia’s attention to urban planning and infrastructure development.
“You can see his commitment in the way he plans for sustainable cities, improved transportation networks, and modernised public services. These are long-term strategies designed to elevate the standard of living for all Ghanaians,” he said.
He urged NPP delegates to weigh leadership experience and vision when selecting the party’s next flagbearer.
“When choosing a candidate, consider who can implement transformative ideas and deliver tangible results. Dr Bawumia has both the experience and the vision to guide Ghana towards sustainable prosperity,” Farouk Aliu Mahama added.
