Ghanaian American gospel minister DrJen has released her highly anticipated debut single, ‘Holy.’
The worship anthem is described as a testament to divine inspiration, born from a personal spiritual encounter and deep reflection on scripture.
Weeks before receiving the melody and lyrics for Holy, DrJen says she experienced a vivid dream in which she was shown a specific scripture. She later identified it as Revelation 4:11: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”” The verse, she explains, laid the foundation for what became a defining moment of inspiration during a simple walk.
“During that walk, I just started to sing, and the initial melodies and lyrics for ‘Holy’ began to flow,” DrJen shares.
“When I went back to the scripture I had been shown in my dream, I realized the prior verses in Revelation chapter 4 spoke explicitly about the holiness of God the entire chapter was a wellspring of inspiration, deepening my understanding of His worthiness and His sacred nature, which helped me write the rest of the song,” she said.
DrJen’s music ministry centres on a deep devotion to worship and a desire to lead people back to what she describes as the heart of worship. With a voice marked by sincerity and spiritual conviction, she blends contemporary gospel with reverent themes, creating a sound that is both intimate and impactful.
Her ministry, she says, was born from a desire to honour God without limits, rigid formulas, or performance, focusing instead on what she calls authentic, spirit led worship.
Each song she releases, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is intended as an invitation for listeners to experience a personal encounter with Jesus, stirring faith, bringing healing and instilling hope.
Her mission remains clear: to lift the name of Jesus, awaken hearts to His truth and remind this generation that true worship transforms lives. She often references Romans 12:2: ““Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.””
Holy is now available on major digital streaming platforms worldwide, positioned as an invitation to worship and a reminder of what DrJen describes as God’s holiness and worthiness.
