The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 13 new Mpox cases, bringing the country’s total to 993 as of January 25.
The latest figures reflect a steady increase in reported cases over recent weeks.
According to the GHS, the total number of deaths from the disease remains at seven. Health experts have warned that mpox spreads primarily through close contact with infected persons. Common symptoms include fever, headache, muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes, and skin rashes.
The GHS is urging the public to maintain good personal hygiene and to seek medical attention immediately at the nearest health facility if any symptoms associated with Mpox appear.
