He said at the Appolonia City’s newly commissioned works, executed in partnership with Core Construction Limited.
This phase involves the delivery of approximately 25 kilometres of high-quality asphalt roads, incorporating pedestrian walkways, cycling paths, kerbs, and comprehensive stormwater drainage systems.
Mr. Suhuyini noted that the groundbreaking was a clear demonstration of what strategic infrastructure investment could achieve.
He said it also represented a future where roads and services were delivered ahead of demand to improve mobility and enhance quality of life.
Perminas Marisi, Rendeavour Ghana’s Country Head and Managing Director of Appolonia City, highlighted the strategic importance of the milestone, noting that the investment reflects a deliberate, long-term commitment to infrastructure-led development.
He noted that roads were the arteries of any city and that this investment brought the project closer to realizing its full potential as a model for planned growth in Ghana and the wider region.
Mr. Kevin Lartey, Director of Operations at Core Construction Limited, reaffirmed his company’s commitment to quality and excellence.
He stated that Core Construction is honoured to partner with Appolonia City on this transformative programme, focusing on delivering durable, high-quality roads that meet the highest technical standards while aligning with the company’s reputation for safety and reliability.
Developed by Rendeavour, Appolonia City is a 2,325-acre master-planned community designed to counteract the challenges of unplanned urban sprawl in the Greater Accra Region.
To date, over US$250 million has been invested in critical infrastructure, including a 75MVA primary substation and over 50 kilometres of utility networks.
The Deputy Minister was joined at the ceremony by prominent stakeholders, including Mr Joseph Tettey, Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso, and Mr. Daniel Tetteh, Board Chairman of Appolonia City.
