Holy Child School is set to mark its 80th anniversary with a week-long celebration from March 4 to March 8, 2026, at the Angel’s Hill campus.
A highlight of the celebrations will be on March 5, Founder’s Day, when the 2001 Year Group, known as the Sapphires, will commission a transformative Legacy Water Project for their alma mater.
The project features a 20,000-gallon solar-powered water system designed to serve over 2,000 students and staff, ensuring a reliable supply of water throughout the school.
Engineered with a 50KW HV hybrid solar system, 35.12KWH storage, and a 28.56kWp solar pumping station, the initiative provides clean water while relying on renewable energy, eliminating disruptions from power fluctuations.

“This project is our 'thank you' to our alma mater,” said Anita Nadia Attah, President of the 2001 Year Group.
“We are providing a clean, solar-powered water solution so students can focus fully on learning and leadership.”
The week-long celebration also includes the 80th Anniversary Speech and Prize Giving Day on March 7, with Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, as the Special Guest of Honor.
Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, will serve as Chairperson for the prestigious occasion.
The festivities will conclude on March 8 with a Thanksgiving Service at the school chapel.
The 2001 Sapphires’ homecoming marks their silver jubilee since graduation and aims to inspire fellow alumni to contribute to Holy Child School’s legacy.
