The Consolidated Bank Ghana over the weekend organised a free health screening exercise for residents of the North Legon enclave in Accra.
The exercise took place at the premises of Charismatic Evangelistic Ministries (CEM) on Sunday, March 15, and forms part of a series of community health outreaches that the bank has undertaken in the national capital, especially in the areas where they operate.

The initiative is part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts aimed at partnering with key stakeholders to provide essential healthcare services and health education in communities where it operates.

Hundreds of residents and worshippers took advantage of the opportunity to undergo various medical checks during the exercise.

Speaking to Joy Business on the sidelines of the programme, Managing Director of the bank, Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey, emphasised the institution’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing of communities through such interventions.

Hundreds of worshippers of the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry and residents in the area participated in the exercise, with most of the recorded cases being diabetes.

The beneficiaries were also given free medical consultations by doctors at the venue. Some were provided with medication, while those with severe conditions were advised to seek further medical treatment.
