The president of Kenpong Group of Companies Mr Kennedy Agyapong has sent a message of condolence to the bereaved families on board the crashed Germanwings Airbus and staff of Lufthansa.
Germanwings, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Airlines crashed last Tuesday en route to Dusseldorf.
The Airbus 320 from Barcelona to Duesseldorf hit a mountain, killing all 144 passengers and six crew, after an eight-minute descent.
The co-pilot of the Germanwings flight that crashed in the French Alps, named as Andreas Lubitz, appeared to want to "destroy the plane", officials said.
A statement signed by the former Asante Kotoko Board Member said: “We wish to express our heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families on the crashed aircraft.
“It is our fervent prayer and wish that the affected families and the entire staff of Lufthansa remain strong in these trying times.”
The Kenpong Travel and Tours (KT&T) a subsidiary of Kenpong Group has a good working relationship with airline giants, Lufthansa who penciled down KT&T as a high profile Agent Award winner and top Travel Trade partner for their support in 2014.
The Award ceremony, scheduled for Coconut Grove Hotel in Accra has been pushed forward to a new date due to the plane crash.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian Airlines has also rewarded KT&T for its good works by flying a staff of the company to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a special Award ceremony and sightseeing.
The prospective Lufthansa Award is KT&T’s second award in less than a month; an indication of the level professionalism.
