Gospel music lovers in Kumasi and other parts of the Ashanti Region are gearing up for one of the biggest praise and worship shows to hit the Garden City.
It is the first ever Nhyira Praiz being organized by Ashanti’s favorite radio station Nhyira 104.5 FM.
The highly-anticipated mega event is expected to draw crowds from the Christian fraternity to the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, May 1, which is also Workers Day.
Gospel heavyweight groups and individuals, including Soul Winners, Cecilia Marfo, Selina Boateng, Ernest Opoku Jr., the latest sensation, ‘Soboyo Sotoyo’ man, Kofi Gyan, Odifuo Kofi Amponsah and Alolome are on the bill for spirit-filled event.
Nhyira News is reliably informed three of the artistes performing on the day are on a three-day prayer and fasting exercise for spiritual empowerment ahead of the big day.
The fever has already caught up with Nhyira FM's on-air staff who have been exhibiting their singing prowess to invoke the Holy Ghost and excite listeners.
Events and Promotions Executive at Multimedia, Kumasi, Louis Lamis, says logistic and physical preparation of the venue is almost set for Friday.
He says many high profile religious personalities will be present to intercede for Ghana.
Meanwhile, sales of advanced tickets for the event have attracted high patronage as people troop to designated outlets for tickets.
