A deputy branch manager of the Antiwa Rural Bank Daniel Antwi Bosiako is on the wanted list of the police for allegedly stealing ȼ 77,019 from several accounts of deceased customers.
CEO of the bank, Kennedy Oteng said he received complaints from family of one of the deceased customers that an amount of ȼ4000 has been stolen from the account of the deceased.
A team, he said, was set up by the bank to look into several other complaints.
The team realized that the suspect had tampered with several other accounts belonging to customers from Anyinam, Kwabeng, Asiakwa, Techiman among other branches.
Eastern Region police PRO, ASP Yaw Nketia Yeboah said the suspect has absconded.
A Koforidua circuit court has also issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
